Spectacular scenery with deep views.

You will need a road bike for this route. Follow the road down the glen, past Folda Farm and Balnamenoch farm and turn right at the T-junction and across the River Isla, then back up the glen past The Doonies, then past the Games Haugh where the Glenisla Highland Games are held in August, and then turn right towards Forter Castle which was built in the 16th century, burnt down and finally rebuilt in the late 20th century. Follow this road then take the right turn at the next t-junction, back over the Isla and past the Auchentaple track and back to your start point.
