A popular fishing spot.
Walk east along the road (Kirriemuir direction) for 200m then follow the Cateran Trail, left up the track towards East Mill farm with the War Memorial on your left. Before you get to the farmyard the signpost takes you left, and out onto the hill. Cross the weir of Loch Shandra and then turn right onto the forestry track walking down to the Freuchies which was built for forestry workers then turn right down the minor road and right again back along the main road to Kirkton of Glenisla.
