Join us for a free, guided road bike tour between three historic market towns in the Cateran Ecomuseum that provides a superb day out on two wheels or a great connection between various other routes in the Ecomuseum.
This session is aimed at road cyclists and the route is just over 35km long on quiet tarmac roads. We’ll leave from Alyth Cyclery and it should take us around two to three hours to complete the ride.
Places are limited to a maximum number of eight participants and booking in advance is essential – you can find further information and secure your place here.
Children attending the ride must be over the age of 15, competent cyclists with quite a lot of experience and accompanied by an adult.
This session is part of The Cateran Ecomuseum’s innovative Museum of Rapid Transition programme which aims to reconnect people to heritage and traditions that are hidden and/or at risk, showing their practical relevance for more regenerative ways of living, bringing people together and enhancing a sense of place, stewardship and community resilience.
The walk is being delivered by the Cateran Ecomuseum with the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery players, as well as the Paths for All Smarter Choices Smarter People programme and the Cairngorms National Park Authority.
