Cateran Ecomuseum

This free cycling tour with our experienced cycle leaders heads towards the eastern boundary of the Cateran Ecomuseum and around the pretty Loch of Lintrathen, an important reservoir of water for the City of Dundee and a haven for wildlife that attracts vast numbers of wintering wildfowl.

Join us for an interesting and informative cycle around the loch’s picturesque shores. This session is aimed at road cyclists and the route is just over 26km long on quiet tarmac roads. We’ll leave from Alyth Cyclery and it should take us around two hours to complete the route.

Places are limited to a maximum number of eight participants and booking in advance is essential – you can find further information and secure your place here.

Children attending the ride must be over the age of 10, competent cyclists and accompanied by an adult.

This session is part of The Cateran Ecomuseum’s Travel For All Our Tomorrow’s programme which offers a number of free, active travel for leisure experiences co-designed with local communities and led by local people and which aims to encourage more people in the Tayside region to enjoy what is on their doorstep, rather than increase their carbon footprint by travelling further afield.

The guided cycle ride is being delivered by the Cateran Ecomuseum with the support of Inspiring Scotland and the Scottish Government’s Rural and Island Communities Ideas into Action (RICIA) Fund and Paths for All Smarter Choices Smarter Places programme.
