About the Guide: George Logan
George is a practicing visual artist having retired as a professional photographer for client such as the British Geological Society and Scottish Natural Heritage. He has a long interest in archaeology, doing photography and fieldwork with Perth & Kinross Heritage Trust and the Tay Landscape Partnership. He has developed a particular interest in integrating art and archeology as a way of recording sites and encouraging engagement from new audiences and has led a variety of creative walks to achieve this.
George says “Our landscape is rich in history, stories to tell and imagine. We so often walk obliviously past that which is nearby and in its own small way monumental and connected to the lives that passed before us. Remnants languishing to be discovered, like ghosts in the landscape. Auchenchapel is a small area particularly rich in archeology, much still to be discovered.”
