Event Details

This event, the finale of two weeks of celebrations of Hamish Henderson in Eastern Perthshire, will include readings of his poetry by the poet Jim Mackintosh, including excerpts from “Elegies for the Dead in Cyrenaica”, which was written between 1942 and 1947, when Hamish was serving in the North African desert during the Second World War, together with songs and music by local artists and musicians.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS VERY LIMITED PARKING FOR PRIVATE VEHICLES AT THE SPITTAL OF GLENSHEE FOR THIS EVENT, WHICH IS WHY WE ARE TICKETING THE NUMBERS OF VEHICLES THAT WE CAN ACCOMODATE.
